Hmmm almost a year later? What the heck? After having lunch with my wonderful friend Minna, we made a pack to start blogging again. So after a creatively charged lunch I feel I should share something...

So I'm sharing our selfie. Thanks Minna for always inspiring me! Miss you already...

Wait for it...Wait for it...

So I have been gone for a really long time, but I have a great excuse! I have been really busy taking on a new position at work, trying to make new items for my etsy shop, which never make it there, since they sell before i can post them. Also I am still keeping up with my Pinterest Challenge. 36 Projects in 2012. I am already up to 15. So with that, I will give you a super photo heavy post. Just so that you know why I haven't posted in forever.

I have really been trying to make all my greeting cards lately. Yes they take up some time, but I think they mean more than the average Hallmark card. Some real TLC goes into these babies. 

I am trying to get some stock built up right now. So of course my OCD kicks in and I have to organize them. I don't like the box i currently have them in, so I am on the hunt for a cute wicker basket to store them.

I have done a little scrapping but no much. Since my bestie lives a kazillion miles away now, we decided that we need something to keep us connected and not forget about one another. Life get crazy and I want to make sure that she knows I will never forget about her. So every month we send each other scrappy pages for our traveling journal. She has one and I have one. We also scrap in it ourselves. Just to let one another know what is going on in our life. Could be something or nothing. Then in a year we will trade journals and see our own pages and the others. Here were mine last month.

And of course there's the little tooth fairy monsters. I have added a new size...the mini for $12.00. They are super cute too and fun to make. I am trying to build up stock for my booth in November.

Keeping with the craftyness, here is a pinterest project I did. Only took a couple glasses of wine, an evening alone and one burn from a hot glue gun. Yes I still would have burn myself if wine wasn't involved. LOL.

I also got to go to a bridal shower. It was for my 2nd cousin's fiance. I haven't seen some of those family members for about 4 years. It was a lot of fun catching up. 

Here is my gift for the bride. I framed it on orange burlap. 

Holy buckets is snowed here in MAY!! Oh how I love snow.

Here are 2 more pinterest projects. I was commissioned to paint in a little girl and boy's room. Both rooms took 17 hours to complete. I did it in 2 days.

Taping took 7 hours...for the record...

I really like how it turned out. I think I want to do it in my house, but make the zig-zags bigger. Less taping... I feel this post is about me, me, me, so I give you John. He was spoiled this past month and got an extra large green egg. I do get to reap the benefits of the amazing food he has made on it though. 

We have also went to a bunch of baseball games.

 Remember this Pinterest Project?

Well, I mailed T-Man her half. She has used it everyday since she got it. She texted me and said the permanent marker was coming off. So this pin on Pinterest DOES NOT work. Boo. She loved that mug as much as I did. I felt awful. So onto plan B and Pinterest Project #8.

You know I didn't think that I would remember how to knit. It has been years since I last picked up the needles. I have to say it's like riding a bike.

So, T-Man Plan B will be postal soon.

Snow Day = Crafty Day

We have been getting pounded with snow here in the Midwest and I am loving it! I was in my studio all day yesterday and when I left, I had paint on my face, and sore fingers from sewing and cutting wood. That is just another reason I love winter! I leave with Pinterest Pin #7 of 36. I am also going to start selling these if you are interested. They are $25 plus shipping.

More Pinterest Projects

More Pinterest projects closer to my goal. I will say I will never make cushions again. I will draw more on mugs however. That project was a lot of fun. The Christmas card holder gave me my fix for my compulsiveness organization.

2013...it's what it is about!

Every year I sit down and write a list of my 2013 intentions, but this year I decided to work on the usual personal goals, but ALSO set a new crafty goal. 36 Pinterest Projects in 2013 before I turn 36 in 2014. Sooo this is #1 of 36, a new wreath for my front door.

Supplies: 

6.25 yards of $1.99 Muslim (ripped into 1.5" x 8" strips)

1 - Wire wreath frame from floral department

2 yards of red burlap ribbon

Super cute Valentine Sign.

Tie the individual strips for 4 HOURS and you get this.

Another card I made for my FIL for his birthday. I have to admit...I really like making cards. 

I plan on making a lot more to bulk of my stash and use some of my scraps.

Now for a few other items that have really excited me lately. A new round mirror for our living room! We sold pretty much everything we owned when we moved from Iowa, so we are slowly piecing our new house together. This is one item we fell in love at the store. It has been on order for months and now it is on my wall and looks completely amazing. So glad we found it.

I am decorating my laundry room...yes the laundry room. I found this sign the other day and it is going to be perfect with a shelf under it with my close pin rocking chair and something else I haven't quite put my finger on yet.

Catching up with Scrapbooking

Goal for 2013 is to scrap more. I am even thinking about going to an Archiver's crop here to meet more scrappy ladies. Holy buckets I haven't scrapped in forever and these were done so long ago, but better late than never.  Due to my lack of time, all photos were taken with my phone. LOL.
